#KSEdonationsatwork

8/4/2021

Despite an incredibly difficult school year, the King Springs Community TRULY rallied around our amazing school.  Check out all of the ways that YOUR DONATIONS were put to use last year!
  • The Special Education team received items for their sensory room!
  • The Second Grade students had a virtual field trip to learn more about the Creek and Cherokee Native American Tribes!
  • The Fourth Grade team received new math manipulatives and revamped their novel studies to include more diverse characters and cultures!
  • The Fifth Grade students enjoyed a High Touch, High Tech interactive, virtual field trip!
  • ALL six grade levels received additional Reading Assessment kits to allow teachers a faster way to track student growth in reading.
  • After reading the book, Writing Strategies by Jennifer Serravallo, teachers spent a full school day doing additional training based upon the strategies in the book.
  • For three consecutive summers, KSE faculty and staff have been trained at the Classroom Educator level by a Fellow of the Orton Gillingham Academy, Rosalie Davis.

Springing Forward Innovation Grants

1/11/2018

Thanks to the generosity of our parents and community who helped us raise $62,000 in our Support the Pride Campaign, The King Springs Foundation is proud to announce its first grant program, Springing Forward Innovation Grants.

In this first round of grants, we will distribute $8000 to teachers for their innovative ideas to bring STEM education into their classroom.  We will award one grant to each grade, one grant to a specials rotation, and one grant to another area that directly impacts students, such as the learning commons, Target, Guidance, etc.

Teachers are encouraged to be creative.  Teachers can submit individual ideas.  They can also team up, submit more than one idea, or submit as an entire grade.

SUPPORT PROJECT BASED LEARNING AT KSE BY ENTERING TO WIN VIP PARKING

8/8/2017

Did you know:
  • The county does not provide funding for the STEM supplies that our teacher's need for their project based learning lesson plans?
  • Ms. S and Mrs. Wilfred depend on Foundation funding to obtain materials for some of the hands on learning and cool science demonstrations that are used in the Specials rotations?
  • Just last week, the Foundation was able to quickly buy a bulk supply of eclipse glasses (before they sold out) for our students to use on August 21st?

Many of the great learning experiences that our children are lucky enough to participate in would not be possible without parental support. So...

If you haven't done so already, please consider participating in the VIP Parking Space Drawing.  Your small donation will go directly toward procuring needed STEM supplies and putting them into the hands of our creative, talented teachers.

You can download the form and send it in to your child's teacher or you can go to our front page to pay and email the form to treasurer@kingspringsfoundation.org.  The last day to submit your entries is August 22nd.
