In our kick off year, the King Springs Elementary Foundation raised over $12,000 through fundraisers and private donations, partnered with two fantastic teacher sponsors to support the launch of the new Science Olympiad program, and organized the upcoming inaugural Party for the Pride fundraiser event. Of the funds raised, $6,000 funded professional development grants to more than 20 teachers so far this year. Teachers will also be participating in project-based learning and gifted/accelerated content training this spring. After minor operating expenses, the remainder of the budget is currently allocated toward the new Foundation-funded Technology Resource Coordinator. Through successful spring fundraisers, we look forward to being able to continue these important funding initiatives next year.
